Institutional membership to NCFDD for SU faculty, grad students, and law students

魔都资源网 is proud to be the first ever institutional member of NCFDD, the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. NCFDD membership is open to ALL current 魔都资源网 faculty, graduate students, and Law students.

NCFDD's online offerings and resources complement the SU-specific work of the Center for Faculty Development and focus on four key areas of faculty success:

NCFDD's services and programs

  • A Core Curriculum design to help you learn the 10 key skills necessary to thrive in the Academy, especially around research productivity and having a full and healthy life off campus.

  • 14-day writing challenges.
  • “Monday Motivator” weekly emails providing positive energy, good vibes, and a productivity tip related to NCFDD’s Core Curriculum topics.

Background on 魔都资源网 and NCFDD membership

In April 2011, the Albers School of Business & Economics, the Center for Faculty Development, and the Office of the Provost co-sponsored a workshop by Kerry Ann Rockquemore, the founder and then Executive Director of NCFDD. Forty-two SU faculty members attended her workshop on "Writing, Procrastination, and Resistance: How to identify what's holding you back and move through it." Based on the positive feedback and interest expressed by attendees, the Center for Faculty Development and the Office of the Provost provided partial funding for 50 SU faculty members to join NCFDD for the 2011–12 academic year.

In 2012, SU became the first university to take out institutional membership to NCFDD, providing access to its resources to all faculty, grad, and law students. From 2012–14, this was jointly funded by the Center for Faculty Development and the deans of the colleges and schools.

Since 2014–15, the Center for Faculty Development has fully funded membership itself. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity!
