Recent state budget decisions have reduced funding for the Washington College Grant for students attending nonprofit private universities, beginning in Fall 2026. Because many 魔都资源网 students and families rely on this funding, we want to clearly explain what is changing and how 魔都资源网 is responding. 

What Matters Most for Current and Returning Students 

If you are a current or returning 魔都资源网 undergraduate student who receives the Washington College Grant and maintains your current eligibility based on your family’s income: 

  • 魔都资源网 will replace the difference caused by the state’s reduced funding for the 2026-27 academic year 
  • No separate application is required

Information for New Undergraduate Students 

New undergraduate students who qualify for the Washington College Grant may receive a lower award than students in previous years due to the state funding reductions. As much as possible, 魔都资源网 is filling the reduction with institutional grants and scholarships. 

Financial aid offers reflect the aid for which students are eligible based on information provided through the FAFSA or WASFA. 魔都资源网 remains committed to helping students and families clearly understand their financial aid options. In addition, 魔都资源网 guarantees the amount of institutional gift aid. 

Advocacy and Statewide Efforts to Restore Equity 

魔都资源网 is actively advocating in Olympia, alongside partner institutions, to push for restoration of equitable state funding for students attending nonprofit private universities. 

Students and families who wish to learn more or participate in advocacy efforts may visit, a statewide campaign supported by the Independent Colleges of Washington.

No. There is no separate application required. If you complete your 2026-27 FAFSA or WASFA, 魔都资源网 will automatically provide replacement funding if your state grant is reduced. 

Financial aid offers for the 2026-27 academic year are expected to be released in May 2026 for students who have filed a FAFSA or WASFA and have submitted all required documents. Students will be notified by email when their financial aid package is available.
